To achieve physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being through culturally appropriate health promotion, disease prevention and quality health services. To achieve this based on “Treaty Rights” – “Right to Health Care” Treaty Four signed September 15, 1874.
To provide health services which encompass and address the health and wellness needs and requirements of our First Nation’s people now and for future generations. To work collectively as a “health team” to ensure quality, productivity, and accountability. To effectively clarify and describe to the community what the health programs are intended to achieve. To administer health programs with sound judgement and management which effectively produce sound work practices that are beneficial to the community of Rolling River First Nation. To provide mandatory programs which protect the “public health and safety” of our community and neighboring communities. To promote community wellness and provide preventative programs that contribute to healthy lifestyles.
The ADI supports health promotion and prevention activities and services to reduce Type 2 diabetes within the Rolling River First Nation community. Using local knowledge, ADI will encourage and develop innovative, culturally relevant approaches aimed at increasing community wellness and reducing the burden of diabetes illnesses.
Supports the spiritual, emotional, intellectual and physical growth of the children residing in Rolling River First Nation; Support and encourage each child to enjoy life long learning; Support parents and guardians as the primary teachers and caregivers of their children; Help parents and guardians to play a major part in planning, developing, implementing and evaluation the project; Recognize the support, the role of the extended family in teaching and caring for children; Include broader First Nation communities throughout all of the program’s stages, from planning to evaluation; Ensure linkages and cooperation with other community programs and services to enhance the effectiveness of the program and; Ensure resources are used in the best way possible in order to produce measurable and positive outcomes for children living in Rolling River First Nation, as well as their parents, families and communities.

The Core Program Elements of CPNP: Nutrition Screening-Education & Counselling, Maternal Nourishment, Breastfeeding Promotion-Education & Support.
Provide information programs which facilitate community awareness and prevention of alcohol and drug dependency. Acts as contact to facilitate the treatment process for clients. Provide follow-up rehabilitation services for clients following release from treatment. Keep up-to-date with current information in the field of alcohol, drug and solvent abuse and/or other addictions.
The Community Health Representative will provide services that enhance the health and well-being of community members of Rolling River First Nation for all services defined under Discretionary Programs in addition to assisting the Community Health Nurse with the Mandatory Services.
Community based mental health services that will focus on the three areas of Community Wellness, Support Services and Crisis Intervention.
The Health Finance Officer will be responsible to provide day-to-day financial services relative to the Health Programs and Services delivered to the community of Rolling River First Nation.
The primary responsibility of the Health Director will be to manage and direct the health programs and services of Rolling River First Nation, to oversee the supervision of health personnel and serve as a health resource and advisor.

Is responsible for direct Home & Community Care Program activities and deliverables. Develop and maintain client(s) care plans when assessing and providing direct home care services. Responsible for direct service delivery to home care client(s) within the scope of practice. Be the direct link between client(s) families and the H&CC Program. Gather all pertinent information for referrals, discharge, client and family in preparation for initial planning for H&CC. Complete the nursing physical assessment/examination and the environmental assessment. Develop client care plan based on information obtained during the assessment which clearly states nursing care responsibilities/functions and/or other support services. Provide direct nursing care, which will include dressing changes/removals, injections, medication administration, etc. Perform nursing care functions to home care clients in a safe and effective manner. Provide teaching and health awareness activities to individuals and families to promote self-care and self-responsibility.
Jordan’s Principle is a child-first initiative named in memory of Jordan River Anderson, born with complex medical issues, the federal and provincial governments argued as to which was responsible for paying his home care. He passed away at the age of five-years. The Jordan’s Principle program aims to ensure First Nations children can access health services ordinarily available to other Canadian children without experiencing denials or delays related to their First Nations status.
To provide screening and assessment early on in pregnancy and provide prenatal classes and supports for pregnant women and families; To home visit pregnant women and families with infants and young children, individually or along side with the Maternal Child Health Community Home Visitor; To provide home visiting services with an aim to contact and connect with all pregnant women and new parents with a strong focus on identifying families who require additional supports.
